What to Expect

1

Arranging a Consultation or Surgery

You are welcome to contact BoneVet Orthopaedics directly to arrange a consultation or to discuss your pet's condition. A referral from your regular veterinarian is not required, though we do encourage you to let your vet know you are seeking advanced surgical care so that they can share any relevant history or imaging.

2

Prior to Your Appointment

Once your appointment is confirmed, please complete the online Consultation Questionnaire to help us fully understand your pet's current problems and overall health before you arrive. You will also receive the relevant procedure information sheet to read ahead of time.

3

Submitting Video

Short video clips of your pet walking can be a valuable aid in the initial assessment of both orthopaedic and neurological problems. If requested, please upload several short clips of 10 to 20 seconds each via our Upload Portal, showing:

  • Front-view (walking directly towards you).
  • Rear-view (walking directly away from you).
  • Side-on view (ideally from both sides).
  • Rising from a lying position, walking slowly, and trotting (if safe to do so).
4

Post-Surgery Rechecks

At the time your pet is due for their four to six-week check-up, please complete the Patient Progress Form before attending. This helps us provide individually tailored advice regarding your pet's ongoing rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and appropriate levels of activity.
