To your knowledge, were the parents MRI-screened for Chiari-like malformation or syringomyelia prior to breeding? Do you know if any littermates have neurological issues?

3. Timeline & Specific Triggers

Does your dog ever cry out, seem dizzy, or show sudden pain during activities that increase pressure, such as coughing, sneezing, straining to go to the toilet, or pulling hard on the leash?

4. Scratching & Sensory Behaviors

When they scratch, does the back foot actually make contact?

Do they suddenly lick the air or bite at their flanks for no reason?

Is there a specific spot on the neck or shoulder they absolutely won't let you touch?

5. Posture, Sleep & Pain

Cries out or yelps spontaneously (unprovoked)?
Cries or stiffens when being picked up?
Appears unsteady, wobbly, or uncoordinated?
Drags paws or scuffs toenails on the ground?
Frequently shakes head or rubs face on floor?
Decreased hearing or responsiveness?
Pain when yawning or opening mouth wide?
Reluctance to chew hard food or drops food?
